Oxford, MAINE — Pink Feather Foundation, a nonprofit organization serving teachers and students in MSAD 17 and RSU 16, broke ground on their new “Forever Home” headquarters on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 67 King Street in Oxford, Maine.
“Our goal with this new building is to plant firm roots in the community and provide a permanent space where Pink Feather can continue serving our communities and expand our reach, without interruption,” said Pink Feather Foundation board chair, Chris Delamater.
The new headquarters will be built on a piece of land graciously donated by an anonymous community member. A group of several local excavating, construction, and electrical contractors along with a local materials supplier are donating their time, skills, and supplies to bring the project to life.
At a kickoff event in early May, Norway Savings Bank presented Pink Feather with a $10,000 donation toward the project. “We are so grateful to have the support of Norway Savings Bank,” said Jen Kyllonen, Co-Executive Director of Pink Feather Foundation.
“Even with these generous gifts, we still need help. We welcome all donations toward our building fundraising effort, including in-kind materials or services,” said Kyllonen. Public fundraising efforts are currently underway. Donors contributing to the building fund will be recognized with wooden hearts and feathers displayed inside the new building.
